if you listen quietly enough, you will be able to feel heartbeats
moving through the pillow. constant and sudden like plucking
a violin string. the simplest things happen when we are asleep-
the shifting of covers, flung off and torn around like a violent snowstorm.
yet all things violent are…
persona 3: you walk up stairs at night
Nocturne: you gradually realize you hate everything.
Because someone else did Nocturne, I’ll do a game I played today.
Xenoblade Chronicles: You get destroyed by giant caterpillars
Ace Attorney: you’re a lawyer.
Pokemon: you put as many animals in containers as possible.

My boyfriend and I had a 41-hour-long date this weekend.
I think I am now realizing why people say “I love you”.
Because there are not adequate words to describe my extreme introversion (and the fact that I’ve never spent that much time with anyone).
Because it gets repetitive saying “thank you” every time he stops me from picking my nails and tells me not to worry and gets me out doing things and comforts me when I cry.
Because I think we truly know each other, and despite our flaws and differences, we’re still here.
Because he has the habit of saying things and wishing he hadn’t. I have the habit of not saying things and wishing I had. So both of us saying something and meaning it in a big way is quite astounding.

a kinesthesia of music,
your fingertips like a needle
deep inside the vinyl grooves
of my heart.

I need feminism because my boyfriend not minding if I do or don’t shave should be the norm not a rarity.
